Job Description:
- Responsible for all aspects of Unix systems administration on a large and complex government software system running JAVA applications
- Coordinates and supports development and installation of complex Java software in a team environment.
- Troubleshoots user accounts, platform configuration changes, software version changes and other system performance and resolves problems with skill and professionalism
- Assists and trains users, as well as provides guidance to less experienced system administrators
- Plans and coordinates software and system changes with team members
- Ensures all actions meet system security requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years Unix System Administration experience, to include: testing, debugging and installation of computer system hardware and software
- Must have a minimum 1 year of experience with BEA and Oracle installation
- Minimum 1 year experience with the use of open source products and Rational tool
- Knowledge of configuration management principles and system security
- Knowledge of/experience with Linux a plus
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Position requires a current Top Secret/SCI Full Scope Poly Security Clearance.

- Some travel may be required.
