Job Description:
- Responsible for analyzing and/or administering security controls for information systems
- Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction or disclosure
- Researches, evaluates, tests, recommends, communicates and implements new security software or devices
- Implements, enforces, communicates and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, and telecommunications
- Manages the company’s firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information
- Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement the information security systems for large worldwide organizations
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent and a minimum 5 years experience
- Experience with the design, implementation, and deployment of Protection Level 2/3 systems required
- Ability to serve as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
- Knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools
- Familiarity with commercial products, and current Internet/EC technology
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Position requires a current Top Secret/SSBI Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate and Security Professional (CCNA/CCSP).
- Current SOA and web services understanding a plus.
- Software experience utilizing HP Openview a plus.
- System configuration and documentation of Cisco, Juniper and Fortran hardware a plus.
- MS Windows 2003 environment experience a plus.
- Some travel may be required.
