Job Description:
Microelectronics Engineer
The candidate shall have a detailed knowledge of all aspects related to microelectronics such as digital logic, microprocessors, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), and their packaging design. Responsible for the physical layout of COTS based custom packaging solutions including plastic, laminate, hermetic, and MCM substrates. Coordinates procurement of custom packaging materials and supplies from commercial vendors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years experience. A Master's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field may be substituted for six (6) years of experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of experience.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- JEDEC design standards and practices
- Familiarity with 3D and full field electrical simulations including cross-talk, impedance matching, etc.
- MIL-883 design standards and practices
- Assembly processes and requirements, including hermetic and non-hermetic.
- Multi-chip module design
- Expertise in either electrical design (2 GHz +) or thermal design or both.
- Familiarity with industry standard software tools
- Position requires a current Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Some travel may be required.
