Software Engineer

Job Description:
- Programming real-time, embedded systems using C/C++ and assembly language.
- Programming in MS Visual C++ environment.
- Interact and understand customer requirements as well as propose and implement solutions to satisfy customer needs.
- Working closely with senior software/hardware developers and field support engineers to trouble shoot issues and implement fixes.
- Assist field support engineers on product specific issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field. MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field a plus.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux development tools.
- Working knowledge of MS Windows OS and Office tools.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Recent college graduate a plus.
- 1-2 years embedded software development experience and/or intern/co-op experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ and assembly language.
- Prior experience with real-time, embedded software development.
- Knowledge on any of the following a plus:
- MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video and audio compression
- NTSC and PAL TV standards
- MPEG and AC3 audio coding
- Jave, Javascript & HTML coding experience
