Provide security expertise to create the required documentation and put the required project components thru the security process to receive IATO Status.
Ensuring systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
Ensuring that all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the Information System (IS).
Designing and implementing security tests in accordance with Government stated criteria.
Preparation and maintenance of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) as required by NISCAP procedures and DCID 6/3.
Preparation and maintenance of System Security Plans (SSPs) and Security Concept of Operations (SECONOPs) as required by the NISCAP.
Providing daily, ongoing security oversight of assigned systems as to the security impact of proposed modifications, additions, and technology refresh evolutions.
Advising users of the security features and procedures used in their ISs.
Working with different Government divisions to ensure SECONOP/SSP documents are current and that they reflect the proper system component make-up.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and ten or more years of experience in security engineering.
Minimum ten years in a technical role, providing technical expertise for software intensive projects and programs for Government or Industry customers, of which: Seven years experience as a Security Engineer supporting software architecture development.
Experience with Agency Security Directives, Policies, Publications and Regulations.
Experience in creating System Security Plans.
Experience in network security certifications.
Experience in system certifications.
This position requires the candidate to already possess an active CI Polygraph security clearance, have the ability to obtain a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance, and to maintain the clearance.
