Job Description:
As a member of the Service Support Organization, this key internal position will act as subject matter expert on Harris RF PSPC products and systems (OpenSky, P25, MASTR V, SitePro) and will work closely with the Program Management team to consult with customers, channel partners, NSPs and internal team members to ensure timely execution and support of system implementation and on-going successful operations. The successful candidate will understand how these products operate in the holistic wireless system implementations and be able to appropriately diagnose and address the complex customer implementation issues (i.e. configuration, implementation or product related elements).
As system specialists, this position will be embedded with System Integrity during the final testing and validation of product release, perform and assist in the field testing of these products, lead early implementation of field releases of the product and serve as the SME for the Programs and Services organizations on the operation of the networks. Delivers consulting project activities, ranging from client identification through final invoicing for medium- to long-term engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation,
testing, client training, and solution deployment. Project management activities include interaction with company and client managers and cost/schedule monitoring. Financial responsibilities include project cost estimating, proposal generation, and invoicing. May participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities. Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization
Leads discussions and facilitates action planning with customers, consultants, vendors and other Harris personnel as necessary to diagnose issues and advance projects. Act as an internal Harris champion to customers to ensure customer needs and requirements are being met according to contractual obligations and Harris customer satisfaction metrics. Develops action plans to solve complex field/internal issues through the use of troubleshooting skills to drive root cause analysis to issue resolution. Identifies opportunities for Harris services organization to meet additional customer needs during implementation and/or customer operation of systems.
Provide customer feedback into Product Management with features lacking or enhancements requested by the field.
Qualifications:

BSEE, BSCE or similar technical degree and 9+ years professional experience; or MSEE/MSCE and 7+ years professional experience

5 years technical experience in IP/Networks, including wireless, Cisco, and other complex IP systems.

5 years experience organizing, planning and negotiating LMR system projects

5 years experience in customer facing roles

2+ years working within industry standards and government guidelines for LMR systems
-
5+ years experience managing large projects and make critical decisions in a timely manner, including working with other disciplines and possibly conflicting priorities to develop and implement an LMR system

2+ years previous experience presenting to a diverse audience from the executive level to the technical and non-technical level
Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience in MS Windows Server 2003, UNIX, LAN/WAN design, two-way radio systems, microwave systems, or wireless data systems

Approximately 60% domestic travel anticipated
