Job Description
Harris- Crucial Security Programs is seeking a highly motivated individual with systems engineering experience for an exciting opportunity in a high-growth company. The engineer will be a part of a team that will be responsible for security assessments, engineering, and operations in a multi-vendor, enterprise-class environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
The engineers responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assess, evaluate, and mitigate security risks in enterprise-class Windows Active Directory domains and forests including but not limited to the domain controllers, Exchange servers, and IIS servers.
Assist the team in the building, testing, implementation, and operation of Windows and Linux-based systems that support security solutions such as packet sniffers, log analysis, log/event collection, etc.
Interfacing with the customer during meetings, briefings, when providing security assessments/analyses, remediation reports, and other related systems engineering briefings.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience configuring and maintaining Windows AD servers and workstations including common network services such as DNS, DHCP, DFS, AD GPOs, file and print services.
1+ years documented experience configuring and maintaining Linux-based systems in a networked environment.
3+ years of experience with server-based, appliance-based, and endpoint security technologies including:
o Anti-virus/Anti-malware endpoint solutions
o Patch management solutions
o Mail Guards
o Host-based Intrusion Detection Systems
o Packet capture and analysis
1+ years of experience with full-cycle design and implementation of complex networked systems in an AD-based infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
Aptitude for learning new network and security technologies and applying them to new and existing infrastructures.
Systems certifications (RHCE, MCSA, MCSE) preferred.
Experience with compliance standards and security best practices (NIST guidelines, CIS benchmarks, DISA STIGs, etc.).
Network certifications (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP) considered a plus.
Citrix and other remote access technologies considered a plus.
